Meet the Staff
My name is Josh Morris and I am a co-founder of the EDGE program at Legend High School. I am currently a mentor in the EDGE program. I have been a teacher since 2001 and have spent every summer since 2001 working at summer camp. I think the EDGE program is awesome and love summer camp even more! I want to expand the EDGE model to as many students as possible and am excited to combine my love for EDGE and summer camp into one exciting experience at EDGE Camps.
Hello, my name is Gavin Boland and I am a 10th-grade student in the Edge Program. I have a passion for digital editing and video games. I often combine my passions to create funny edits and memes for my friends to enjoy. During my time in High School, I've been through 4 college-level graphic design courses and am currently in a video editing course. I am mostly self-taught in graphic design so I find it important to let students explore what they want to create. My goal is to instill a drive in students to learn more about a topic.
Hey! My name is Aiden, and I’m so glad you are looking into video editing! I’ve been doing video editing for about four years now, and I’m ready to share what I’ve learned. I’ve done professional editing for the YouTuber AYOfficial (Adam Young), and have been complimented as such. I’ve taught myself video editing, and have picked it up quick. Over the past four years, I’ve picked up skills for numerous digital arts, such as illustrator, photoshop, after effects, and editing! I can’t wait to see all of you in our video editing class!
My name is Steven Wingate and I am a teacher for your Build-A-Bot program. I have been building, designing, tinkering, and refining robots for the better part of 10 years. I love robotics and I have completed many different personal projects and challenges to learn all I could. In addition to this, I am a second-degree black belt, Life scout in boy scouts and the owner of my own company. I am excited to meet you and can’t wait to tackle some design challenges using the engineering method.

My name is Madisyn Ransom. I am currently a Junior at Legend High School and am apart of the EDGE program. For most of my life, I’ve had an intense fascination with the weather. At the end of my Sophomore year, I decided I wanted to follow that passion into a career. So, the March of my Sophomore year, I took a class by an NWS and NOAA representative and became a certified NWS storm spotter and reporter. Not only was I able to learn what types of weather needed to be reported, but safety measures to look out for to keep your friends, family, and self out of danger. I want to share this information I have learned with your students to not only protect them now but in their future as well.

I have also developed a great work ethic that has helped me get to where I am today as a student and a person.

Hi, my name is Solara Vue and I’m an EDGE student who is helping to teach the Light the Way After School Camp. I like having a good time and blasting music with my friends. I’m a very easy-going but I also get things done. I am able to teach this project for I’ve done it. With my mistakes, maybe you can learn from them. If I’m able to teach my parents how to use their new iPhone 10, who’s to say I can’t teach middle schoolers about wiring and dimensions.
